What you can set

Everything you can set

Built from the app's own settings screen, not written by hand. If it is here it exists; if it is not here we have not built it.

Rules that act on your broker 6 Keys you press in a trade 4 Settings panes 9, holding 29 pages
Which way they move Tighten whenever you like. Loosen only after the market shuts.

It is a long list, so it is in three parts: the rules that hold you to your word, the keys you press in a trade, and then the settings window pane by pane, folded up. Open only the panes you are curious about. Where a line names the helper, that is the small program the app installs to talk to Trader Workstation.

01The ones that hold you to your word

02The four keys

Each key does one thing you chose while calm. Press it from the keyboard, the menu bar, the floating keys, or a Stream Deck — they all send the same key.

PROTECT

One press takes part off and, once the trade is ahead, moves the stop up. How much, and where the stop goes, is yours to set:

  • How much it sells: the share your exit style sets, rounded up, always keeping one.
  • Where the stop goes once the bid is ahead: break-even, or a margin over entry that you set.
  • Before the bid is ahead, it sells and leaves the stop where it is.
  • Holding one contract, it sells nothing and still moves the stop once ahead.

FLATTEN

Out. Everything sold at market, every working order cancelled.

  • No settings. It always does exactly this.

RUNNER

Take one piece off the table and keep the stop under the rest.

  • It sells what is left a slice at a time: a third of it by default.
  • The stop is resized to what is kept before the slice is sold.
  • When the slice is all that is left, it sells that at market and cancels the stop.

TRAIL

Puts the stop you already have on a trail. It sells nothing and places nothing.

  • The start: nothing moves until the bid has been your start amount above entry.
  • The distance: from then the helper keeps the stop that far under the highest bid it has seen since the press. Closer as the move runs, if you set it to tighten.
  • The stop only moves up.
  • It needs the helper running, a real-time quote, and one plain stop for the whole position.
  • Only a press of TRAIL starts a trail. PROTECT and RUNNER start none.
  • A press is for that position, that day.
  • Try it on a paper account first.

03The settings window, pane by pane

Folded, because nobody needs all of it at once. Each pane opens with a click.

A paper account is held to the same rules as a real one, with nothing to choose: the daily budget, the stand-down after two reds and the trade cap bind whichever account Trader Workstation is logged into. A rule you only keep when it is expensive is not a rule you have.
